In the previous discussion about breast cancer, I pointed out that cancer of the breast, which usually manifests at the early stage as a lump that may look harmless are of two types. They are the benign tumor and the malignant tumor. In treating these tumors, the doctor must first understand the type of tumor he is about to remove in order to get the desired result.  The approach here is to first remove a small portion of the abnormal tissue, and send it to a pathologist for a microscopic examination, in order to know the exact nature of the tumor. All these will take place while the patient is still lying down on the operating table. When the result is out, the doctor will now know the next line of action to take.

Okay, I am happy to back again on this platform. Remember we have not exhausted the topic we started last about the common cancer locations in the body. We are starting from where we stopped last time, so read on.

There is no unique or collective way that we can say that this is how all cases of cancers appears. That is to say that cancer occurring in any part of the body has a special way it occurs. Today, we are going to list the different parts of the body where you can find cancer, and mention a brief feature about them.

1) BILE DUCT: When there is a case of cancer development in the bile duct, one of the earliest symptoms is jaundice. This is caused by a disturbance to the flow of the bile. With this type of cancer, surgical treatment does not always prove effective because the symptoms usually develop late.

Yes, we suggested yesterday that the best way to achieve a maximum result with the treatment of cancer is when it is treated early, and this comes by detecting the symptoms early enough and carrying out treatments immediately, without any delay. Presently, there is no known factor that can be said that is the basic cause or causes of cancer. There are some facts that have long been held about cancer that has been discovered to be false, but new facts about this deadly have equally emerged. Today, we are going to discuss some of the risk factors of cervical cancer. They are many that it will not be possible for us to exhaust all of them, but let us see how far we can go today.

1)      HUMAN PAPILLUM VIRUS INFECTION (HPV): This is the most important of all the risk factors associated to the cancer of the cervix. Doctors believe that before a woman can develop cervical cancer, she must have been infected by HPV. Some types of this HPV are classified as “high risk” because they are the main causes of cervical cancer. These types include HPV 6, HPV 18, HPV 31, HPV 35, and HPV 45 and many other. About two-thirds of all cervical cancers are caused by HPV 16-18.

When abnormal cells in the cervix grow out of control, it leads to cervical cancer. The lower part of the uterus, which opens directly to the vagina, is called the cervix. If this problem is discovered early, it can easily be cured, and this discovery at this early stage can only be possible if the patient is one that undergoes regular tests of her body systems. The discovery of cervical cancer is by carrying out a test called Pap test.

CAUSES OF CERVICAL CANCER:

Among all diseases that affect humanity, cancer ranks high as a major killer. Reports have it that cancer is responsible for about 300,000 deaths that occur in America annually. Also, it is estimated that about one million people living in the United States of America, receive treatments about cancer every year. This will really show you the level that this particular disease has reached in its onslaught in the lives of people. If adequate caution is not taken, and this scourge continues, then sooner than later, a larger percentage of the citizenry will develop cancer.
